13) Mood Board- Alternative Rock

Here I have researched various bands from the alternative rock genre and placed their images to create a mood board. This is to show how bands of this particular genre are represented through the use of mise-en-scene. I have realized that usually dark and dismal colours such as shades of black, brown, white, navy blue and red are used which reflects on the sound of the music produced, which has very harsh sounding instruments such as drums and electric guitar. These colours as well as costumes and even down to the positioning of the band members appeal to the target audience as when they see a band of this genre, the audience automatically and subconsciously looks for a particular ' style ' which mainly reflects on the music produced and is therefore proven to important and a major selling point.
